Description

Objective for scientific research and high quality microphotographs on a high resolution camera with a large sensor. It is recommended for applications with high requirements on optical resolution and image purity: microscopy of living cells, visualization of deep tissue layers, and qualitative and quantitative analysis of the examined compounds. The plan apochromatic objective delivers a higher degree of chromatic and spherical aberrations compared to plan achromatic objectives. Chromatic aberrations are corrected for five colors, spherical aberration for four colors, and the field curvature is corrected for 90% of the field of view diameter.

The resolution limit of a 60х/1.42 objective is 0.19μm. The objective is designed for the infinity-corrected tube length. The parfocal distance is 60mm. When a 10х/22 mm eyepiece is used, the diameter of the field of view is 0.36mm. The objective is designed to be used with specimens with 0.17mm coverslips.

When a 60x objective is used, the lower limit of the microscope’s useful magnification is 710x. Lower magnification does not allow you to distinguish the details of the specimen whose image is formed by the objective. The upper limit of the useful magnification, when a 60x objective is used, is 1420x. Higher magnification is considered “useless” as it provides no new detail in the image of the sample. With the 60x/1.42 objective, use eyepieces with magnifications from 10x to 20x.
