Description

MAGUS CHD30 is a camera that is designed to work with a microscope. With its help, you can create photo and video materials of the object under observation as well as edit them and even take their measurements. The special feature of this camera is its ability to be paired with a computer via Wi-Fi as well as with an external screen using the HDMI interface. The frame rate is 25 or 60fps, respectively. When an external screen is connected, the camera automatically focuses on the object, making shooting easier and producing better results. The device is capable of working autonomously and creating a Full HD image (1920x1080px). The combination of a high frame rate and Full HD creates a high-quality image without interference or distortion.

Sensor

The device is built on a color CMOS sensor from Sony. Its size is 1/1.9'' and the pixel size is 3.75x3.75μm. Despite its small dimensions, the sensor provides a light sensitivity of 1120mV at 1/30 of a second. It is possible thanks to the back-illumination technology that is used in the design of the matrix. The camera can shoot in low light conditions or in fluorescent light. To create the largest possible field of view without distortion, it is recommended to use an adapter with a magnification of from 0.5х to 0.75х.

Software

The camera comes with built-in software. It enables you to take photos and record videos without a computer connection. The image can be displayed on an external screen using the HDMI interface. The frame rate is 60fps. The camera software enables you to edit the image and measure the linear and angular dimensions of objects and their structures. Before you start measuring, calibrate the software for each objective using a calibration slide. If the device needs to be paired with a computer, this can be done using a Wi-Fi connection. In this case, you can also record videos at 25fps.

Microscope installation

The device can be installed in a microscope in two ways: in the trinocular tube or in the eyepiece tube instead of the eyepiece. In both cases, you will need a C-mount adapter to connect. Installation in an eyepiece tube also requires an adapter ring to fit the size of the tube.

Additional devices and accessories support

You can connect several additional devices to the camera to make your work easier and more enjoyable. Using a mouse will eliminate the vibrations that usually occur when you make direct contact with the device. The SD card will enable you to save your photo and video materials directly on the camera. This line of cameras is also compatible with special MAGUS monitors. Monitors are installed directly on the device and thereby create a complete visualization system.
