Description

Video eyepiece with a SONY Exmor 8.3MP digital sensor. The sensor uses back-illumination technology to improve light sensitivity as well as to produce bright, clear images even in low light. The camera is used for work using the darkfield or brightfield microscopy technique on objectives with a magnification of 4x, 10x, and 20x. It also works with stereomicroscopes. A USB3.0 port with high data transfer speed (5Gbps) is used to connect to a computer and display images on the screen.

The MAGUS CDF30 camera is installed in the trinocular tube or in the eyepiece tube of a microscope. The maximum field of view without optical defects can be reached using an adapter with a magnification from 0.65x to 0.9x. To install it in the eyepiece tube, in addition to the adapter, you will also need an adapter matching the diameter of the tube.

The image is displayed on the computer screen with a maximum resolution of 3840x2160px. The frame rate is 45 fps. At a lower resolution (1920x1080px), the frame rate increases to 70fps. Transitions between frames are almost imperceptible, with no delays, and so the camera can be used to study and showcase moving objects. Photos and videos are recorded and saved in various formats.

Before using the MAGUS CDF30 digital camera, you must install a special program on your computer. The camera comes with a CD containing the drivers and MAGUS View software. The software must be calibrated on each objective. This requires a calibration slide that is not included in the kit.
