Description

The educational microscope MAGUS Bio 240B is intended for professional training. With its help, you can conduct studies in transmitted light using the brightfield method and study transparent and translucent biological specimens. The microscope is equipped with a coded revolving nosepiece for four objectives with intelligent lighting: Its brightness is adjusted to each objective. The device is compact and convenient to move and store.

The head is designed to accommodate two eyepieces and adopts the infinite optical system. The tubes in the head can make a complete rotation around their axis, and the eye relief is adjusted to the user’s height. The microscope comes with 2 standard 10x/20mm eyepieces. The set also includes rubber eyecups for users with glasses: The eyecups serve as a kind of layer between the lenses of the glasses and the eyepieces as well as protect the optics from abrasions, scratches, and damage. Each tube is equipped with a diopter adjustment ring: You can adjust the focus to fit your vision. This feature will be especially useful for researchers with differing eyesight since each eyepiece can be adjusted independently of the other. If there is a need to connect a digital camera to the microscope, it can be placed in either of the tubes by first removing one eyepiece.

The revolving nosepiece has slots for four objectives. The revolver itself is deployed in the direction “toward the interior”: The researcher sees their working objective in front of them, while the other objectives are at a distance. The advantage of this arrangement is a large free workspace in front of the user. When changing objectives, the light intensity usually fluctuates. This creates severe eye strain and fatigue. To avoid this unpleasant effect, the MAGUS Bio 240B microscope is equipped with an intelligent lighting control system: The user adjusts the brightness for each objective once, and so when switching objectives, the lighting changes automatically. An additional convenience is the user does not have to waste time adjusting the lighting each time the objective is switched.

The microscope is equipped with a focusing system with coaxially located coarse and fine adjustment knobs. They are located at the bottom of the body and on both sides of the stand, which allows the user a comfortable position when controlling focus. On the left side is a coarse focus lock knob that allows you to quickly adjust the image after switching objectives. On the right side, there is a ring for adjusting the coarse focusing travel rigidity to suit you.

The stage is equipped with a belt drive mechanism. With its help, the specimen moves smoothly under the objectives.

The Abbe condenser is fixed under the stage as well as centered and set to the correct vertical position at the factory: The user does not have to spend time and effort on the installation and configuration. The condenser has a numerical aperture of 1.25. Its handle is used to adjust the iris diaphragm. The condenser has colored objective magnification marks: To make the image contrasty, the position of the handle must be set in accordance with the objective being used.

The microscope operates in transmitted light. A 3W LED is installed as an illuminator. Its color temperature can be adjusted from 3000K to 7000K, thereby adjusting the lighting to the characteristics of the object under study. The operating life of the illuminator is 50,000 hours.

Another nice feature of this model is the LCD screen, which displays operating parameters: magnification of the active objective, lighting temperature, and operating mode.

You can move the microscope using the side handles. The device is designed so that the cord and power adapter are hidden on the back wall of the body. This is aesthetically pleasing, safe, and convenient for storing and carrying the microscope.
