Description

As the most powerful instrument in its series, the Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 16" Dobsonian is the master key to the secrets of deep space. Its 406mm aperture and 1830mm focal length enable you to explore our Solar System in detail and resolve fine structures in distant galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters. This telescope reveals the finest details of our celestial neighbors. On the Moon, it resolves craters, rilles, and ridges as small as 1–2km, especially near the terminator. You can discern spots and swirls within Jupiter’s cloud bands, intricate gaps in Saturn’s rings, and the maria, polar caps, and dust storms of Mars. The phases of Venus become distinct, and you can observe Uranus and Neptune as clear discs rather than mere points of light. Under good atmospheric conditions, you can see spiral structures and dust lanes in the largest galaxies, gas clouds and dark voids in nebulae, the stellar scatter of globular clusters, and double and multiple stars. The Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 16" captivates from the very first minute of observation.

Its optical system is built around high-reflectivity (92–95%) primary and secondary mirrors as the core of its impressive performance. This high coefficient is achieved through a special aluminum coating. For clear, high-contrast views of planets at high power or to detect faint galaxies and nebulae, the telescope relies on two key principles: maximum light gathering and exact focus. With a broad-spectrum aluminum coating for ultraviolet to infrared, this instrument is versatile enough to study a diverse array of astronomical objects. The primary mirror of the Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 16" has a parabolic shape. This effectively compensates for spherical aberration and adds sharpness across the entire field of view. The telescope is equipped with a dual-speed 2" rack-and-pinion focuser. It includes a 1.25" adapter, giving you the freedom to choose the eyepieces that are best suited for your observing goals.

The optical tube assembly (OTA) weighs 36kg. It is mounted on a manually operated Dobsonian mount that is made of sturdy wood and weighs 29kg. This design makes the mount a reliable and stable platform that is capable of withstanding prolonged, intensive use. The package includes essential accessories: 10mm and 25mm Plössl eyepieces (1.25"), an 8x40 finderscope, and a primary mirror cooling fan. The fan is powered by 8 AA batteries (sold separately).
