Discovery Channel informs, entertains and inspires its audiences around the globe about the world in all its wonder, diversity and amazement. Offering millions of people the chance to discover, and satisfy their curiosity, Discovery offers a compelling mix of stories across genres including science and technology, exploration, adventure, history and in depth behind-the-scenes glimpses at the people, places and organisations that shape and share the world we live in.

We proudly present the Discovery optics series that is produced by Levenhuk and endorsed by Discovery.

The Levenhuk Discovery Spark 114 EQ is a long focus reflector that is perfect for thoroughly studying the night sky. It enables you to see distant galaxies, gaze at mesmerizing nebulae, and view double stars and other objects from the Messier catalog. The telescope is also suitable for exploring the solar system for the first time. There is a special filter for lunar observations.

The 114mm diameter spherical mirror is the main part of Levenhuk Discovery Spark 114 EQ optics. Due to the combination of the long focal length and an anti-reflective coating of the optics, the image is clear, contrasty, and with well-defined fine details. The equatorial mount, complete with its slow-motion control and counterweight, enables you to point the telescope tube precisely at celestial bodies and track their motion smoothly.

The tripod is made of aluminum and is stable even on rough ground. There is an accessory tray in the middle where you can place the eyepieces and a Barlow lens. All of these come with the kit. If necessary, the device can be further upgraded with additional accessories. The rack and pinion focuser has a standard diameter of 1.25", providing great compatibility with other accessories. The kit also includes a book of knowledge, a great gift for those who want to learn more about spotted objects through the telescope’s eyepiece.
