The Levenhuk MED D40T LCD digital microscope features not only the infinity-corrected pan achromatic optical system and Köhler illumination, but also an LCD digital camera include in the kit. The microscope is created for professionals; it can be used in laboratories, medical centers, and academic institutions for training students. It is suitable both for careful research and for presentations, workshops, and lectures.
Plan achromatic infinity-corrected optics
The microscopes in the Levenhuk MED 40 series are equipped with an infinity-corrected optical system that is used in professional and high-class microscopes. This system includes Infinity PlanAchromat objectives and allows for obtaining clear, high contrast images with a high level of flatness.
One of the most important features of an infinity-corrected optical system is that it allows for installing any additional parts in the optical path between objective lenses and an ocular tube. The additional parts include polarizers and epi-fluorescence light. All in all, modular design and simple operation make Levenhuk MED 40 optimal microscopes for use in different kinds of microscopy and working in hematological, histological, microbiological, and other laboratories.
A rotatable head with a beam splitter
The trinocular head can be rotated 360°, so the microscope is convenient for group studies. The binocular visual part is inclined by 30°, whereas the eyepiece tube for a digital camera is vertical, there is a beam splitter.
A digital camera with a sensor LCD screen
The kit includes a 5MP sensor LCD camera. You do not have to connect it to a PC or install any additional software. The camera displays the image on the built-in screen online, as there is no necessity to look through the eyepieces. That makes work in a laboratory easier and more practical and also reduces the eyestrain and tension in the rotator cuff. The camera can be coupled with an external screen or a TV set, can be connected to additional equipment (earphones, keyboard, computer mouse, etc.). Memory cards and other data storage devices are supported. The camera allows for taking high-resolution photos and videos. The software allows for adjusting size, image brightness and contrast, exposure time and white balance, calibrating a camera and objective lenses, measuring specimens or structures (several measurement units are available). In addition, the program allows for carrying out a particle analysis.
Capabilities of the optical system
The wide-field eyepieces ensure clear vision, have 10x magnification, and enable diopter adjustment. There are five objective lenses of various magnification; a 100x objective lens is suitable for observations by the oil immersion method. Three objectives have spring rims that protect the optics from incidental damage. All of the optic surfaces of accessories are protected with anti-fungal coating.
Convenient work with microscope slides
The double-coordinate stage is equipped with a mechanical scale. The lighting system is placed below; it includes a bright LED and an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm. The light brightness is adjustable.
Illumination is powered by an AC power supply.

Caution:
Please refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to plug a 110V device into 220V outlet and vice versa without using a converter. Remember that mains voltage in the U.S. and Canada is 110V and 220–240V in most European countries.
Some things you can see under a microscope:
Levenhuk MED D40T LCD Digital Trinocular Microscope is also compatible with other Levenhuk digital cameras (additional cameras are purchased separately). Levenhuk cameras are installed in the eyepiece tube instead of an eyepiece. This microscope is also compatible with any other digital microscope cameras.
