The Levenhuk Discovery Femto Polar digital microscope enables you to examine the microbial world as well as record specimens as pictures or videos. The 3Mpx camera can keep an archive of recordings and display an image of the specimen on the main screen. The microscope operates easily, creates clear and contrast images, and includes suits hobbyists and students. An illustrated knowledge book about the microbial world, entitled "The Invisible World", is included in the kit.
Achromatic optics with 40x to 400x magnification
The microscope is equipped with a monocular head that can be rotated 360°. It’s comfortable to use in groups, especially when needing to share images with others. Instead of moving the entire device, the head can be turned accordingly. The head is inclined at 45°, making it comfortable for long periods of use. The microscope’s optics are made out of glass: the wide-field eyepiece and achromatic objectives. The 40x objective is layered with a protective lens and spring action that make it more protected against possible damage. The device can be adjusted with coarse and fine focusing.
Dual LED illumination with brightness adjustment
Stage with clips, a disc diaphragm under the stage for controlling luminous flux from lower illumination. Adjustable, dual illumination. Illumination can be plugged into the wall with the provided AC adapter or battery-powered (not included).
The kit includes a 3Mpx camera for pictures and video recording
The digital camera 3Mpx can take pictures with 2048x1536 pixel resolution that enables the visibility of numerous minor specimen details. It has a video recording function. To use the camera, attach it onto the ocular tube in place of the eyepiece, connect it to a computer with a USB cord, and open the program (see software installation CD). The image processing function is available for both pictures and videos.
An illustrated knowledge book, "The Invisible World", is a delightful addition to the kit. It is written with easy-to-understand language and illustrations. It provides a lot of interesting information such as how to adjust the microscope to see inside a drop of water or how to conduct experiments at home. This wonderful scholastic book enhances the experimentation experience.
