Description

This Meade Tripod Base is a replacement for the Meade MAX Optical Tube Assembly (OTA) Mount. It also can be purchased as a secondary mount for purchasers of the MAX pier mount who want a portable option for their optics.

The Meade MAX tripod has enough rigidity to bear the great weights of up to 180kg that will be applied to it by the OTA and drive assemblies but can pack down to more compact size for portability. Tools are not required to setup or collapse the tripod base. The MAX tripod is made entirely at Meade's cutting edge Irvine, California facilities and is capable of supporting nearly any large telescope.
