Professional microscopes and digital cameras MAGUS: More than 70 new products are now on sale

15.12.2023

Dear partners,

We are happy to introduce new MAGUS products: microscopes with digital cameras, microscopes with cameras and LCD monitors as well as digital cameras, LCD monitors, and accessories. Thanks to the available digital capabilities, a researcher using a microscope can directly observe a sample, but also take photos, record videos, display images on an external screen, and use software to measure samples and process images.

Digital cameras

Four lines of cameras have been released under the MAGUS brand, each focused on specific research methods, which simplifies the selection of the right model. Cameras also differ in sensors: by the number of megapixels, sensitivity, resolution, size, and matrix (monochrome or color). There are also differences in the data transfer interface, shutter type, and frame rate. The right camera is the one that most effectively solves the researcher’s problems.

The CBF camera line is designed for brightfield techniques:

The CDF line of cameras is designed for darkfield and brightfield techniques:

The CLM line of cameras is designed for fluorescence and darkfield techniques:

The HDMI line of cameras include models that can connect to a computer via USB, but that do not require it to operate. Thanks to the HDMI interface and built-in software, they can be connected directly to a TV, monitor, or projector. Some models support Wi-Fi or WLAN connections. HDMI cameras are also compatible with MAGUS MCD20 and MAGUS MCD40 LCD monitors.

Adapter rings and C-mount adapters are also available and can be used to mount digital cameras on microscopes.

Digital microscopes (with a camera)

MAGUS digital microscopes with a camera are tools not only for the direct observation of a sample, but also for recording the research being conducted in photo and video formats. The camera is also used to display images on a computer monitor to be shown to an audience. Microscopes are equipped with cameras from three series: CBF, CDF, and CLM. Each camera comes with software that, among other things, enables you to take measurements and process images.

Digital microscopes (with a camera and an LCD monitor)

The digital camera and an LCD monitor provide a complete imaging system for the MAGUS microscope. In this case, the microscope does not need to be connected to a computer, monitor, or projector, as all of the digital capabilities are already there. On the screen, you can monitor the progress of your research, and with the built-in software, you can work with the image and take measurements. Microscopes come complete with HDMI cameras and MCD20 or MCD40 LCD monitors.

All of the microscopes and accessories are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty: 5 years for microscopes, cameras, and LCD monitors, and 6 months for adapter rings and adapters.
