Description

The Levenhuk Solar System F8 filter set consists of eight eyepiece filters that will help you to study the solar system in detail. All of the filters feature a 1.25" barrel diameter and are equipped with an internal thread for combining different filters.

Levenhuk 1.25" Lunar Filter
This filter is necessary for long-term observations of the moon. The moon at a phase of more than 80% is very bright, so it can blind you. That's why sometimes you cannot study it in detail. This filter reduces its "luminosity", allowing observations even at full moon.

Levenhuk 1.25" Optical Filter #8 (Light-yellow)
This filter is used to observe seas and dust clouds on Mars, details of Jupiter's belts as well as Uranus, Neptune, and the Moon. You can use it for observing comets. It features high light transmission, so that it is suitable for telescopes with the low aperture. It reduces chromatic aberration in refractors.

Levenhuk 1.25" Optical Filter #11 (Yellow-green)
The filter with high light transmission that can be used with small aperture telescopes. Through this filter Saturn, especially the Cassini division as well as Mars and Jupiter are well observed. In refractors, it minimizes chromatic distortion.

Levenhuk 1.25" Optical Filter #12 (Yellow)
Like the previous one, this filter can be recommended to owners of small telescopes. It transmits light well, emphasizes the contrast between the details on the Moon, Mars, and Jupiter. It can be used for observing Venus and comets.

Levenhuk 1.25" Optical Filter #23A (Light-red)
It is recommended for apertures from 130mm. The filter is used for the detailed study of Mars and the Moon as well as atmospheric phenomena on Saturn and Jupiter. It can be used for twilight observations of Mercury and daytime observations of Venus. Comet tails are clearly distinguishable through this filter.

Levenhuk 1.25" Optical Filter #25 (Red)
The filter for telescopes with an aperture from 150mm. It is an excellent choice for observing the polar caps, seas, and dust clouds on Mars as well as observing clouds on Jupiter and Saturn. The filter can also be used for observing the Moon.

Levenhuk 1.25" Optical Filter #56A (Light-green)
This filter is extremely useful filter for observing Jupiter. It emphasizes the details of the Great Red Spot as well as many subtle atmospheric formations that are hardly visible. It can be used for observing Saturn and Venus. The filter does well when studying the Moon. It is compatible with low aperture telescopes; it partially eliminates chromatic distortions on refractors.

Levenhuk 1.25" Optical Filter #80A (Blue)
It is one of the most popular filters for studying the planets of the solar system. It allows you to observe in detail the Great Red Spot on Jupiter and the details at the poles of Saturn. The filter is also widely used for observing the Moon, Mars, Venus, and Mercury.
